Welcome to Pure Living with Tracy

The words “inoperable mass” came out of the doctor's mouth and I was frozen in my tracks. I was only 15 at the time and had my whole life ahead of me. I kept thinking, why me, and what was I going to do about it.

Before I get into what happened and how I’ve overcome the multiple setbacks in life like having an organ removed, being diagnosed with a rare disease, and infertility, let me introduce myself in case you don’t know me. 😁

My name is Tracy, I’m a wife and a very blessed stay at home mama!

Becoming a mom has not been easy and very challenging for my husband and I. After countless failed attempts, we weren’t getting pregnant. I started asking friends who I knew lived a cleaner lifestyle for natural ways to help us get pregnant. This is when our low tox journey began. But let’s backtrack to my health journey and how that plays a part in my reason for making this decision too.
At age 15 I was diagnosed with a very rare disease. A mass was discovered after being taken to the hospital for severe pain and difficulty breathing. Scans showed this mass is attached to part of my left lung and aorta. Drs. ultimately agreed that removing the mass was way too risky, so it was decided to monitor the mass with yearly CT scans.

In 2011, I had another episode with severe pain and difficulty breathing only this time, it was a second mass located on my Thymus gland. Since the mass was located on my Thymus gland, Drs. had that gland removed along with the mass so they could biopsy it. When the results came back, we learned that I was diagnosed with a very rare disease called Castleman’s Disease. Removing my Thymus gland along with the mass helped relieve some of the symptoms I periodically had but not completely.

Fast forward, at this point we’re years into infertility and I have a health condition that causes me to have a compromised immune system. I was eager to learn more on how to live healthier and do better for myself and my husband, and our future family.

I ultimately realized that I needed to be in control of my health. That what I put in, on and around my body mattered. Health and healing comes from within and that’s where I needed to start.
So, I began to learn how to start my own low tox journey but I was so overwhelmed at first. There was so much to learn and I didn't know where to begin in my home.

I quickly learned that everything we were exposing our bodies to was most likely causing the infertility we were experiencing. I still believe and trust God that we will get pregnant in the near future, but for now, we have the most incredible God story of how we came to foster and adopt our beautiful daughter who now drives my passion for low tox living even further so I can help her grow healthy and flourish.

With so much going on in my body, it wasn’t enough to just remove daily toxins in my home and personal care products. I need to balance out my body’s endocannabinoid system to regulate and balance out many key functions in my body and heal naturally.

Now, I get the opportunity to share my passion to raise a healthy flourishing family through low tox living. It brings me joy watching so many people detoxing their homes and personal care routines. If you're feeling stressed and overwhelmed, I want to help you make the transition to low tox living easy.
